I did find it had to be banded longer than most to get that redneck curl, for those that know what I mean. Usually its for a day. This one took three days to curl properly. 

Would I recommend this hat? Yes and no. For a cheap fishing hat that you wouldn't care if you lost it, yes. For a nice regular hat, no. I prefer cotton hats all the way.  But this is an affordable hat.
