I got the chance to try one of the vegetable spiralizers. So I wanted to see what all the hoopla was all about.
This one comes with three bonuses. A jar griper to help open jars. A brush to help clean you new tool. And a downloadable cookbook.
The spiralizer itself has two ends. One for small tiny thin cuts. The other end for larger cuts.
To me this seems more like something to do for your kids. Getting them to eat veggies is a challenge. And making them look like pasta and covering them in sauce seems to do the trip.
Now for my first try I did a yellow squash. My findings were I wasted a third of the squash because it wouldn't turn well in the device. For the two thirds that did work here are my findings. The lid that was suppose to help turn the veggie didn't work at all. It just ripped up the end. What I did find was that using a fork worked well.
This was my findings on both ends. I just cut up the stuff that this tool wouldn't cut. I used a butter cream sauce for the topping.
This might be something I use later on be it my son is only seven months old.
